“Is the carriage too warm?”

Robin could feel the flush on her face. Drat him for causing it. She didn't like it when someone else had the upper hand and even less when they gloated about it.

Robin tried to pretended that she didn't care about the setback in her plans or the rising desire that she was feeling as he loosened the tight cravat around his neck. What sort of man wore a starched cravat to a kidnapping?

To play games with his mind Robin batted her eyes, pushed her chest out and even reached across the carriage with her slippered foot to run it along his pant leg. Had she not been tied up she might have passed for sultry.

“You ran out when we weren't finished yet,” she teased.

Rehl looked horribly unhappy across from her, which only increased her joy. Finally she was getting the upper hand. One slip up in his cool facade was all that she needed to rip underneath and find out who he was.

His throat kept moving as if he couldn't breathe and a slight sweat had started near his temple. The cravat was loosened just a bit more.

Attempting the most seductive voice that she possessed Robin formed her lips into a pout. “We hardly even had time for you to compromise me before you were out the door. I should imagine that we have plenty of time for that now.”
